All-of-Us Express Begins Their 20th Anniversary Season!
|
Listen to the tom-tom drums and the message spoken by the "Wordspinner" that
opens and closes this charming adventure suitable for all age groups.
The youth of All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre invite you to witness
their production of “Legend of Pocahontas” at Hannah Community Center , November
14-22. Filled with Native American lore and true to the original legend, it's an
entertaining and fascinating page from our country's history that glows with excitement
and warmth.
This first show in our Coming of Age Story is the start of our year
long 20th Anniversary celebration. Not only will we have some events for you to
look forward to this season, but we will have many surprises on hand at our productions.
You never know what might happen – or when, unless you show up! It might not be
anything big… but wait what if it’s something really awesome? You never know what
we’ve got up our sleeves!
This is a premiere production for All-of-us Express being
co-directed by Miranda Hartmann and Patricia Huzar, both of Lansing . They have
a beautifully assembled cast of twenty-three youth from the Lansing area, including
East Lansing , DeWitt, Dimondale, Grand Ledge, Holt, Okemos and Williamston. Assistant
Director, Austin Homant of Holt has been involved in many All-of-us Express productions
since he began in 2006. There are twenty seven youth crew members who will do the
numerous skills required for costumes, makeup, set building, as well as publicity,
and ushering to name a few.
This production will be presented at Hannah Community
Center, 819 Abbot Rd. in East Lansing . The show dates and times are Fridays, Nov.
14 and 21 at 7:30pm and Saturdays, Nov. 15 and 22 at 2:00 and 4:30pm. Tickets are
available at the door (no pre-sales) $7 for adults and $5 youth up to18 (& still
